PUHC Health Innovation Prize Rules Purpose: To fund a project that is long lasting or wide reaching that will impact the Penn or Philadelphia communities.
1. Applications: Each Applicant must submit an application form that is posted on the PUHC Website. An Applicant can be an individual or a team of individuals up to 5 people. 2. Endorsement: An Applicant must be endorsed by a PUHC Constituent Group. If the applicant is not a member of the PUHC group with which they want to seek endorsement, the applicant must contact the constituent group for endorsement. All applicants must have a project that is approved through a constituent group before it reaches the PUHC exec stage. This also ensures that the project is in fact doable, practical, and the project has ample support and resources before it reaches PUHC’s evaluation. PUHC Constituent Groups may endorse up to three (3) projects for the Health Innovation Prize 3. PUHC reserves the right to fund any project of its choosing. PUHC may fund one project or less, depending on the outcome of the Pitch Contest 4. Applicants may not seek external funds (funds granted by an institution not affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania) before the final project is presented to PUHC 5. Applicants may only participate on one project. 6. The winner must use PUHC-granted funds only for valid project expenses. PUHC has the right to verify the use of all PUHC funds. All funds granted by PUHC to the winner but not used during the project window will be returned to PUHC. 7. The Winner must be available to present an overview of the entire project at the final PUHC GBM of the year. 8. These rules are subject to change.
